Jeffrey W. Binford
Statement of Qualifications
Jeffrey W. Binford is a Managing Director of Horwath HTL’s Dallas office focused on Asset Management, Receiverships, Property Management and Advisory Services. Mr. Binford has spent his career focused on hospitality. Having managed hotels for over ten years, Binford is experienced with operational diagnostics and reviews of hotels, motels and resorts. In his years consulting and appraising hospitality-related projects with Pannell Kerr Forster, he experienced the full real estate cycle of new development, profit enhancements and cost reductions, appraisals, workouts and dispositions. Coupled with experience negotiating franchise and management agreements, Mr. Binford is particularly effective in assisting clients with due diligence, repositioning, asset management, workouts and dispositions.
Prior to his affiliation with Horwath HTL, Mr. Binford held a variety of executive positions with major hospitality franchise and management organizations, and founded several hospitality-related organizations in Dallas, Houston, and Atlanta. Mr. Binford has personally worked on hundreds of hotels, valued well over $1 billion with most industry brands, including Ritz-Carlton, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Hilton, Starwood, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, Choice Hotels, and InterContinental Hotels Group.
Binford holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Houston's Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel Management. He also has additional training in a variety of real estate, appraisal and development programs.
Binford has served as an expert witness to a number of hospitality-related cases, and is frequently a keynote speaker, guest lecturer and panelist before a number of industry-related educational institutions, associations, and chambers of commerce.
